Day Trips

Visit Elgin with its ruined Abbey and Biblical Gardens, or go to Nairn, Inverness, or Cromarty on a short cruise to observe the dolphins.

There are castles aplenty with Ballindalloch, Cawdor, Brodie, and Fyvie Castles all close by.

 

Train Trips

How about taking a journey back in time on the Steam Railway?

The Keith and Dufftown 11 mile line links one of the leading whisky towns, Dufftown, to a market town of Keith.

The line was reopened in 2000 and 2001 and goes through some of the most picturesque scenery you could imagine.

There is also a chance to spot some Scottish wildlife too including deer, foxes, buzzards, and herons.

 

Other Activities

There are numerous activities within the region to keep the family entertained.

Some of these include; Mountain -biking, clay-pigeon shooting, falconry displays, and also, horse-riding.

Some of you may enjoy a trip out to Darnaway Farm, or the Highland Wildlife Park.

It is also worth going to enjoy the sight of the ospreys in their nest at the RSPB reserve close to Aviemore at the Boat of Garten.
